Parent/Teacher Interview

To support our students' Semester 1 reports, this year we will be facilitating Parent/Teacher interviews on Tuesday 1 July and Wednesday 2 July*. Families with children in Lani Jaznowik’s home group (3A) and Ben Thorpe’s home group (5B) will have the opportunity to meet after the school holiday period, due to absence in the last week of this term). I strongly encourage you to participate in these interviews; to celebrate your child's successes in the first half of 2025, and to discuss areas to be strengthened in the second half of the year. Teachers Tuesday 1 July Wednesday 2 July Prep 3:40pm to 5:00pm 3:40pm to 5:00pm Years 1 to 6 3:40pm to 5:00pm 2:00pm to 5:00pm (excluding 3A and 5B) Specialist teachers (Auslan, Library, Physical Education, STEM and Visual Art) 3:40pm to 5:00pm 3:40pm to 5:00pm 3A – Lani Jaznowik Tuesday 22 July Wednesday 23 July 5B – Ben Thorpe 3:40pm to 5:00pm 2:00pm to 5:00pm In readiness for the interviews, please ensure you have read your child’s report prior to booking an interview with your child’s teacher/s. Interviews will be conducted using WebEx (video conferencing) with the teacher sending the parent a link to join the interview at the specified meeting time. Where a child has two home group teachers, only the teacher scheduled to work on the day of the interview will be present. You do not need to book two interviews, as the information discussed is shared. Each interview is strictly limited to 10 minutes, ensuring all families have the opportunity to participate in these interviews. Telephone interviews are available; however, you MUST contact the Office (9583 2995 or mentone.ps@education.vic.gov.au) to arrange this. You should still book an interview time using the Compass Conferences booking system (see: Compass / Community / Conferences). Where the interview is being conducted via telephone, the teacher will call on a 'private phone number' or the school's phone number will appear. Bookings will close at 4:00pm on Friday 27 June 2025, with individual teachers providing WebEx details, allowing you to join their virtual meetings via a Compass news feed on Monday 30 June 2025. Families who are scheduled to participate in a Term 2 Student Support Group (SSG) meeting should not request Parent/Teacher interviews, as previously advised as the SSG meeting takes the place of the interview.
